At HAWKEYE, we gravitate towards the uncanny and lean in favor of the strange. We flutter to off-kilter stories like fire worshipers to flame - if your story sets us ablaze, all the better. We do not shy from the macabre and are drawn to narratives that leave us feeling delightfully unsettled, blissfully scarred. That said, we enjoy uplifting, feel-good stories as well, provided they have the right elements. We don't recoil from anything you might wish to send us, but we do have our favorite flavors. Magical realism and literary works with a speculative bent make us happy. Go on...make us happy.

We want to see the mundane go wild, the everyday turned on its head. We like to get dirty, and embrace the sterile going septic. Leave us wanting more, or leave us guessing. Was it literal, or was it a dream? We don't need to know. We need to feel. Make us feel.
